We all know that we have exceptional noses. We can track wild boar and deer, and now Silas has let us know that he is a man hunter! He went mantrailing the other week, and proved that he is really good at it.

Silas got the idea straight away, and showed Amanda just how it should be done. On this trail it was quite gusty so the scent was being blown all over the place. He carefully checked out all the places it had drifted before continuing on to find the trail layer.

Traditionally Bloodhounds were used for tracking human scent, but small dogs like Cesky Terriers have their place too, as they are small enough to get into places that the big hounds can't reach.
